My nabes...but a slight correction. Article says

town of Haverstraw, in Rockland County, where we wished we could have stopped for lunch...Mexican restaurants and bakeries...

Hispanic, yes, but NOT Mexican--the group there is mostly Dominican with some Puerto Ricans. Vilma's Bakery is especially good--lots of stuff baked with pineapple and coconut. Yum.

For cheap and good--Empanadas Monumentales...
