I’m back on my continued quest for “one-bike-to-ride-all” and often use this topic for inspiration. I came across this earlier this evening while doing some research, if it was a 56cm frame I’d have struggled not to pull the trigger. Obviously these pictures aren’t mine but I thought it deserves to be shared....

Well, speaking of Routt RSLs.............this is hanging in my garage.. Matching RSL stem and post too with Frost Blue graphics.

I'm just waiting for GRX Di2 to be available as a complete group before building it up. I have Mavic Allroad Pro wheels for it and a Easton EC70 AX bar - SMP Dynamic and Challenge tires. I could be taking my time out of fear that once I get this together, I won't have any reason to get another bike for some time. What'll I do with all that free hours that I currently spend hunting/tinkering/boxing???

Can’t wait to see how this build turns out. Do you think you can really get down to one bike with two wheel sets for all of your riding? I don’t race, so the concept kind of makes sense for me. One bike, one set of gravel specific wheels and another with 25mm tires for club rides etc

yes you can absolutely have 1 bike with 2 wheelsets and be totally fine. I have done it, many are still doing it.

No, because I love my Kirk MRB, and it's not going anywhere......

Seriously though, I could at this point totally see myself being happy with a single bike that could take 650b for gravel and 700x32 for fast(er) road rides. I'd just have to give up chasing fast times on local climbs and finding enjoyment in trying to hang with the aero-bike kids on the group rides - that last 5-10% that you get out of a "real" road bike. There is a difference - but does that difference matter to you? Only one person can answer that... And I think many are finding that what they give up in top-end performance is more than made up in simplicity and comfort.

I couldn't do it. I wanted too, my wallet really wanted to... Maybe if I was a wee bit stronger but I'm not, so N+1.
