Welcome to the forum and representing Bixxis. This site seems it it leaning towards gravel and wide tire bikes, but it is nice to have the race bike represented still.

Its a play on the Gulf Racing color scheme. The orange frame in the first pic you posted is my customers bike.

I figured it was based on the Gulf Racing colorway. I just hadn't seen it before like that.
What shop are you with?

I love the bike but that headbadge looks like skin loss waiting to happen while cleaning bike.

I'm not sure. I haven't heard of it happening.

I'm sure its fine...after all built by a master but...I see those raised points & thought ouch....I like the old metal badges of years gone by. They curved with headtube, sat flush & usually had 2 rivets or even glued on

Smooth transition

Oh I picked up what you were throwing down. I was just saying I haven't heard of anyone mentioning an issue. I see that this headbadge is not 100% flush. It could be the angle of the picture. It would be easy enough to fix though. But I agree it looks off in the picture. And it would be easy enough to use some 3M double sided tape on the headbadge. Nothing wrong with doing it that way.

Good point about the head badge. Mine is a tighter fit than that. I checked it and there are no edges on it that will cut you and are smoothed out. Possibly getting a cleaning cloth snagged. In the Ti frame, you could have it etched instead if you prefer.

Stunning. A red De Rosa of the 21st century. Quintessential road bike.

Yep. But if you wanted to have a true classic, the Epopea(lugged steel SLX) in red would be it. Just like the Primato frames Doriano created while at De Rosa.
