If you can just ignore the hunger. you will bonk a bit but you can push through it--just watch any episode of naked and afraid. I don't get the excess water consumption several days out, but I know from friends who have done marathons and ultras that you can loose several pounds in a long event...

PBS had a show not that long ago where a doctor did fasting and low calorie. I think he got 50 calories of miso broth a day or something for 3 days.

Eh, my main competitor is just that much more crazy than I am. Total lost during this contest was 31.7 lbs, 15.81% of body weight. He 28.1 lbs, 16.64% body weight.

He's just that much crazier than I am.

Two days past weigh in and back up 11 lbs... water and holiday bloat..

But, Sculler and I did get some pastry today.
