Dirtphalt, mark your calendar

If you like riding on dirt roads and hanging with your forum pals in upstate NY, mark your calendar for the first weekend in October.

My Calendar is offically marked!!

Not sure if it is on the venue this year but I still remember the loop we did a couple years ago that included Cranberry Bog road and it was remarkably beautiful. I've thought about finding it and riding it again but it's so far in the outback they'd probably have to send search and rescue in to find me. Thankfully CNY rider is as awesome a tour guide as he is a host!

Here you go

We are going to do this fundraiser ride on Saturday, with the CNY Cycling Club.

https://www.bikereg.com/new-lisbon-gravel-grinder

Many of you know Peter from last year's Dirtphalt weekend. He is the head of the local club, and has a great event planned. These are some superb dirt roads.
It's local to us, no further than going from Hartwick to Richfield.
We will all need to register on BikeReg. He is going to send us a discount code which I will share with all of you once he sends it to me.

We will still do the "usual" rides on Friday afternoo and Sunday morning.

Cool, I've worked the event but never ridden it. Looks like a great route this year. Have to figure out if we are all doing one lap or two although I know Pete's pretty flexible if people change their minds about which distance they decide to do after registering. Awesome!

I'm going to say one lap.....that would be roughly equivalent to our typical Dirtphalt rides.
Two would be quite the challenge.
Of course everyone should feel free to pick either option.
Either way it's going to be a great ride, fundraising for a great cause.

Sounds like a plan, one lap it is.

This grinder looks very enticing, One thing of note that glares out is riding a gravel bike 65 miles with 5800 ft. of climbing in under 4hrs. and 30 min. That is really hammering for sure!!!

Working on Saturday, thinking of coming down again for Sunday’s ride. Now to decide if I come Saturday evening or early Sunday AM…
