Beautiful fall weather has arrived. Crisp and cool with early foliage changes, and great weather predicted through next weekend.

I pre-rode the NLGG loop Saturday and it's beautiful and certainly challenging. Manzo Road is a beast, I wish I had even lower gears and I had just put a 32 on the back. The gravel was quite soft from all the rain so I had to walk part of it but it should firm up by Saturday. I may well still end up walking part if it... BB Dave, if you are coming you will love that climb!

I'm signed up for the 33 mile ride on Saturday. If you're waiting to register until later this week, I suggest signing up today. The organizer is sending in the food order shortly and can't guarantee the best food unless you sign up today. See the event notes here: https://www.bikereg.com/new-lisbon-gravel-grinder

Sunday

I have the route , it's going to be great.
RIDE START CHANGE: We are going to leave from the Town of Hartwick town hall.
103 Town Drive, Hartwick NY.
This will spare us coming up over the East Hill at the end of the ride.
We will still come back to my place for drinks, snacks, and telling tall tales about the ride after.

For sure. Hope I've recovered by morning. 34 miles with over 3,500' of climbing today. But Our DirtPhalt contingent had a great time, what a perfect fall day.

Great to see the Paceline Dirtphalt group (and many other friends) at the New Lisbon Gravel Grinder. It was quite possibly the best October cycling weather I’ve experienced. Any warmer and the hills would have been (more) unpleasant. The NLGG is such a great event. If word gets out, attendance will very likely grow. Great course with a larger percentage of gravel than most “gravel” rides. The organization of the ride is excellent with great course markings and well-marshaled corners/intersections. Truly a perfect day on the beautiful dirt roads of CNY!
