Do you find yourself more cautious when selling to a lawyer?
Just wanted to get a feel of things. Sometimes, one doesn't know the profession of the potential buyer. But other times, one finds out. Anything in particular you may be more reluctant to sell to a lawyer?

I wasn’t that cautious marrying one either. Now if I were a praying mantis, yes.

Take good pictures, document condition well, be honest on what you know and what you don't know.
Should approach every sale like that whether it's to a lawyer or to a coal miner. |

It just means you need to make sure you saw through enough of the steerer that they’ll be dead, no big deal.
Is your approach to potential safety issues on bikes and parts really to shrug so long as the person on the other end doesn’t seem litigious? What’s going to be different here? |

My only concern is that they are legit and the check clears!

Then again, doing so may very well be an ethics violation, but that doesn't stop people from trying. Worse if they start threatening to sue for damages and attorney's fees. FWIW, I've probably sold bike parts to lawyers. I actually once rented a bike to one, who wanted to have a bike in his hotel room while he was on assignment. Everything went fine in that case. |

Fair enough. I can’t deny the existence of lawyers who prove the stereotypes.

Only if they live in St Louis and have a habit of waving firearms around and pointing them at people.

This is my approach for everything I sell. If there are any problem areas I make sure to take close up images. For eBay and forum sales I screenshot the ad and save it along with the item images.
