Didn't plan to race this bike but my disc bike needed a new master cylinder and the conditions were very rim brake friendly.

Very fast bumpy course and the extra compliance in this bike was noticeable. Not as stiff as my stigmata putting power down, but the extra vertical flex was nice.

I dunno if I want to scratch up the black brake tracks once it gets muddy so probably back to discs, but fun racing this thing in the meantime

Awesome - I bet that bike is wicked fast. Always loved those. There was an IF Corvid Cantilever rig on eBay now that made me think of this one. The Parlee, Colnago and Corvids were always favorites..

The toppers also come in 5mm and 25mm setback. Getting a bit scarce, but eBay when you see them tend to be clearance price sometimes.

You can also use a saddle with higher stack, I'd wouldn't ride that over limit myself.

Also, you can get round and oval saddle rail bits for the clamp.

Tons of the toppers on eBay now too.

Thanks for the tip! I actually lowered my saddle to avoid potential issues, and been riding it fine that way. I was trying to find the lower offset version in the right diameter in the longer length, but I don't think Ritchey ever made that. Have been toying with the idea of ordering a custom ti topper or something of the like, but we'll see. I really like this bike but it's also not in my top three go to rides so not wanting to invest a ton in it either necessarily.

Did you state the ISP tube OD?

All my experience is with 30.25 I think my Addict LTD was. My friend with 2" more inseam has it now, and the taller topper was just the ticket. I ran the shorter one with less setback for me. I have some extras, but all short ones. I used one with a shortened steerer stem shim successfully, on an ENVE ISP tube custom frameset. 30.25 topper to to 1-1/8 ENVE tube. #yada

I did not say so yet, but being both a huge canti frame fan, a never satisfied Parlee itch [lust!], and huge Pauls MiniMoto fan.. Your CX Parlee is about as sweet as it get to me. Best brakes I have, on par with my R8070 Hydro with HED rim brake wheels on a CX bike in the stable/quiver.

BTW, longer crank arm can off set a 'slight' amount of ISP shortness too. I like longer cranks on CX and off road, BB heights on CX usually a bit taller as well... But my ISP issues usually a combo of saddle stack and crank arm length, even chosen pedals with more stack to add up the millimeters to get pre cut ISPs to work for me. What ever it takes...

Very cool bike! I didn't even know these existed, so great to see one being used as intended.

Thanks guys. It's a fun bike.

OD on the seatmast is 34.9. Definitely need to find myself a zero offset, got the saddle so far forward on the rails I hit a bump weird racing today and finished the second half with my saddle pointed straight down

I’ve loved these frames since I first saw tony’s at Velosmith years ago. It’s so timeless. Do you find the the lugged carbon more compliant? Beautiful bike all around.

Some new shoes on this one. These tires are a blast. Very well suited to dry, fast, hard pack, which also suits this bike.

Not sure how i managed to miss this back when you posted it, but this thing is so sick. The canti Enve fork and Mini-motos are perfection!

I love that thing!! So glad it is too small in case we talk about trades ever again.

I also love my Tomii CX, bet the Parlee is a bit lighter. Although the Team Stampede CX is very light for steel, Enve fork helps..
