Bixxis Prima frameset
The Bixxis Prima is available in two versions: the Prima (Integrato or integrated headset) and Prima D11 (Esterno or external headset). Handmade in Italy by Doriano De Rosa, the Prima is the modern take on classic steel.
Made using a custom and proprietary Columbus Spirit tubeset and exquisitely tig welded, Doriano has created a do-it-all road frame. With custom shaped X-Stays, offers a the Prima frame can handle a 700x28c tire easily. Custom CNC machined dropouts continue to add stiffness and strength in its design. The Prima is available in two headtube style: the Integrato with an integrated headset for a beautiful hourglass shape. And the D11, or Esterno with an external headset cup. Bixxis uses the Chris King D11 headset with its longer head cup flanges for better rigidity. Yes, you can use a different headset. But with the color options and a lifetime warranty, would you want to? The stock for for the Prima is the Pegoretti FALZ. Designed by Dario Pegoretti and made exclusively for them, the FALZ has the looks of a classic steel crown with the lightweight and amazing ride and responsiveness of carbon. Available in stock and custom geometry as well as stock and custom finishes, the Bixxis Prima is a riders dream. Retail for the Prima Integrato is $2750. The Prima D11 is $2900. This includes custom geometry and finishes within reason of course. Lead time is about 12 weeks currently. Both models include a headset, seat collar, cable adjusters and a PMP Titanium seatpost. We will have the Prima in Booth 318 at NAHBS in March. Make sure to stop by to check it out and meet Doriano and Martina De Rosa. Last edited by Velocipede; 03-23-2020 at 05:04 PM. |

Doriano makes it hard to decide on a frame, doesn't he? I love the idea of getting the Epopea frame. But a Prima would work good too. Tough decision.

I just received a Pathos that I'm building up with Record 12. It is a very high quality frame. The lugged Epopea looks awesome as well.

Very nice! I'm a sucker for an orange bike so I really like that Prima.

A mock up of the build in progress. The stem is a spare to keep things in place, and deciding on where to go with that... I hope to be done with the build up this weekend.

Thanks! Is there a stock geometry chart available? Also is there a price difference for stock geometry & finish vs Custom? I see the price above you said is for custom. Is Doriano the welder of all frames? Thanks again! |
