Thanks. Let me stew on it. I've always been intrigued, but by the time it lands here the exchange rate + shipping + duty & fees may not be worthwhile...

This sent me down a bit of a rabbit hole. I’d never heard of those Gokiso wheels before. Nice collection there.

I hadn't either....that hub sounds like it's pretty spectacular.

The company also claims that the Gokiso has one-third less mechanical resistance than the next-smoothest wheel on the market.
so efficient that they spin on a test rack for six minutes, compared to the 90 seconds of the average high quality hub.

If only they could make me younger and more fit (at least close to what I tell myself I used to be)...

That's a fair point. I have a hard time making anything pencil coming from Aussie land too.

Seller says, "It is an Italian flag that is covering the original owners initials that are under the clear coat."

It also has a 15.8cm HT, in case anyone else is pondering the sizing.

1986 Schwinn Paramount - $1,300 54cm

04/21/2023

1986 Schwinn Paramount - $1,300
https://portland.craigslist.org/yam/...611253126.html
1986 54cm Schwinn Paramount, Waterford-built, fireball red. Beautiful unrestored vintage road bike in mint condition. Little evidence of use, looks new. Dura Ace crank, seatpost, brakes and levers; Cinelli stem and bars; Campagnolo dropouts and pedals; Sachs-Huret rear derailleur, lugged Columbus SLX frame, Brooks or Vetta saddle and Mavic rims.
Selling because it is too small for me.
Second owner. Recently replaced crank and bottom bracket, brake cables, housings hoods and chain, filed the brake pads to soft. Everything works as it should.
EXTRA: Will include original Sugino AT triple crank (28/44/48) and BB, which explains the Huret RD. This touring crank turns the bike into a hill climber. Original housings and chain also available.
If the ad is up, the bike is available.

Schwinn Paramount OS Waterford 58cm 1991 - $900

04/21/2023
Schwinn Paramount OS Waterford 58cm 1991 - $900

A 1991 Waterford made paramount OS from Schwinn 58cm size. This got a modern updated drivetrain with a campy centaur 11 speed group. Complete group except the wheelset which are some older campy hubs with mavic rims and some new s-works 28mm tires. Looks a bit tight on the tire clearance at the chainstay myself may need to have the rear tire dropped down to a 26 or 25mm. The original owner supposedly had it repainted in the recent past. I can’t confirm this but the paint and decals look fresh to me. No idea who did the paint job either. No obvious scratches in the paint there are some paint chip spots including in the typical places at the dropouts. Does not look like the newer campy group has seen much use since being put on the bike. Has some flats installed now for test rides nothing special and the headset is Chris king sealed bearing with a modern stem n drops installed with some kind of adapter. If you’re a paramount purist type this probably isn’t for you. Better suited for someone whom wants an older classic steel ride with a modern drivetrain. Obvious, but in case your wondering I’m betting the rear hub is 130 spacing and the bike was originally 126 rear spacing. I do not think it’s been cold set the bike shop who did the parts install they likely just slipped in the rear wheel instead. Pretty common on such a small mm spacing change for older road bike frames. Text or message me only thank you.
