Do as RFC said or build a wheel around one of those White Industries ENO hubs. Either should work great.

Spoke to him today, and not enough demand for SS. So far I am the only one who's asked!

Thanks, these eccentric solutions seem to rub me the wrong way. That leaves a chain tensioner or a surly pacer I guess.

I have been looking at this frame and am awe of your build. Please give me some details about how you got it to 19+ lbs. As I recall, the frame and fork are about .5 lbs lighter than my Surly CC, which, in SS mode with medium weight parts, is about 21 lbs. I am becoming a latter day weight weenie and would like to see what I could do with the BMC Road. Thanks.

OK, I did it and ordered a BMC Road frame. Should be fun.

When Guitar Ted first got his, he set it up as a singlespeed (40/20t gearing).

All you new Black Mountain Cycles owners need to keep us posted, start your own build thread, so I/we can follow along.
I just bought some rims to build a new wheelset for my BMC Road bike, stay tuned... |
