New Stumpy

I have been riding my pandemic 5010 build all season and got the itch for a 29er. There were some solid sales on the Stumpjumper Expert and I finally decided to pull the trigger.
The 5010 is still a blast, but it is a bit noisy and I wanted a quieter bike that has similar characteristics, but with a bit more climbing prowess since that is where I feel most deficient.

I was a but nervous when FedEx showed up and the box was full of holes and smashed pretty good! Fortunately when I opened it up all was good inside! I didn't have time to set the tires up tubeless yet, but I put the bike together and brought it up to Wheelerville to get in a few trails to bed the brakes, get the right fit and brake the suspension in a bit before it got dark out.

It is definitely a nimble bike. Poppy and playful like my 5010, but I need more time on it and to set it up tubeless before I can really give my thoughts on the bike.

Glad you like it! That box looks like it was transported via a rope hooked to the back of the delivery truck.

Indeed it does. I was shocked to find the bike all in one piece and unscathed inside!

Nice bike! I don't understand how boxes get that way. I mean, if I were delivering that I'd be ashamed. I get it sees lots of hands in its travels but damn. Somewhere along the way a gorilla handled that thing. Glad it worked out for you.

Very cool stumpy. I always appreciate how much engineering goes into their MTBs. You still have that Bishop for sale? I’m interested but don’t have enough posts to reply in the classifieds

Thumbs up

Very nice! I love the latest Stumpjumpers. The Expert model is a great value, especially at the current sale price. Enjoy the bike!

Looks super fun! Rode Gooseberry this past weekend with a buddy who just built one of these up and he had a ripping time.

Enjoy!

Lucky nothing was damaged from the looks of that box. Curious if UPS or FEDEX or whoever delivered had any comment of the damage to the box.
