Handlebars that mate well with Campy 12s shifters.

What bars are folks using that lends to a nice flat transition to Campy 12s hoods? I can get Sram stuff nice and level. I used to be able to get my Campy 10s stuff to do the same.

It seems a struggle with the latest generation. My Kirk, wearing Campy 12s, has a ridge. It bothers me. Not only do I not like how it looks...more importantly, it's not the most comfy as something that's flat.

My Kirk looks similar. I have Specialized sworks carbon bars. I really like the shape, the drop, the reach...but not the slight hump to the hoods.

I always used Easton EC-90. I also use camper seal foam rubber to eliminate the mismatch and add padding to the area where the heal of my hand rests. The rubber squashes down white a bit, so two layers might be needed. Some electrical tape over the foam is wise.

The Deda Zero100 (and Zero100 Gravel) has been great with the 12s and past 11s shifters.

I have Thomson carbon bars on my Peg, there’s no ridge that I notice but perhaps you’re more sensitive than I. Take a look at my thread in the gallery and judge for yourself (Tapatalk's crappy search doesn’t turn it up).

I like these bars because the tops are oversized out to the bends; not Deda 35 but bigger than most I’ve tried.

I have a 3T Superergo that goes really nice with my Campy Record 12sp.

And also the 3T Ernova Team Stealth. Both these bars work nicely with my Sram etap 11sp rim brake levers.

That ridge is your bar tape underneath the hood. I find the best way to get rid of it, is to spend a whole lot of time fiddling with how you're transitioning the tape from the drops to the tops. Sometimes, it's even helpful to loosen the shifter clamp a bit and wrap the tape behind it (if you're very picky about not seeing any gaps).

I am building up a campy bike next week and was wondering this same question. Will be using record 11 though. Don't know if the shape is noticeably different?

I didn't want to have to be the one to say it.. figure eight ain't great for a smooth transition mate.

Ritchey Evocurve bars always set up really nicely for me - you can get them in carbon, or in silver metal too - which might be peachy on the Kirk..

I’ve had good luck getting a smooth transition with the Zipp SL70 ergo.

I have some zipp compact bars that get ong great with campy ergos.

Any of the Deda bars that use their RHM bend work well with campagnolo shifters as long as you use a normal, slightly upward angle to the bars.

+1. I haven't used Evocurves with Campy 12, but Campy 10 and several other lever types all work well on this bar in my experience.

For you Deda aficionados - is there a carbon bar of theirs that has similar/identical shape to the RHM100 bars you all are referencing on this thread?

E.g. this one (Superleggera) claims to have RHM shaping, but is it actually similar enough to the aluminum bars referenced in this thread to likely work well with Campag stuff?

Thomson is what I use on our tandem with Campagnolo 12. My understanding is that the Thomson Road bars are similar to Deda RHM design.
