Abramovich got rid of Mourinho the first time because his preferred style of football was too cautious. Conte seems to prefer an even more controlled and tactical approach. That is not what Abramovich wants so I anticipate Conte won't last long and either Tuchel or Simeone will be in next. Probably Simeone, who will bring Griesmann with him, but I think Tuchel would be more likely to build a team Abramovich enjoys.

Mourinho, I think, is unstable. He probably has active depression and, unless he is receiving therapy (which I doubt), I suspect he will unravel again when his team does not meet expectations and fails to provide him with the external validation on which he depends. Without City and Guardiola around and humming Mourinho might do OK but if City's success continues he won't be able to deal with it. First he'll spend more huge sums trying to keep up and when that fails his public behavior will deteriorate to the point ManU sends him packing.

Arsenal's first 45 minutes yesterday against Chelsea are why they win our hearts. Now we wait to have them broken.

Can someone explain why neither the West Ham defender nor the goalkeeper were given yellow cards on the Ibra goal? The former attempted an American football style tackle (with his arms on the shoulders of Ibra), and the latter made a clumsy, late challenge with studs showings. Does the fact that neither was able to prevent the goal helped them from getting booked?

Just watched Chelsea clean Arsenal's clock. There was no fight in the Gunners. Chelsea bullied them. As much as I like Arsene, it's time for a change.

Keegan's Newcastle had a 12 point lead in January in the 1995 season (I'd just finished my undergrad in Newcastle before moving to Manchester for grad school). Newcastle didn't win the league and Keegan had a fairly famous meltdown on TV trying to deal with Fergie's headgames.
