Here are a few shots of the all stainless steel construction road frame. This frameset is dressed with modern components while maintaining its classic style in construction and form. The idea was to create mimic a classic paint scheme with chrome accents and rear triangle without the use of paint. So the lugs, fork crown, rear triangle and logos were high polished then masked while the frame was bead blasted. Internal cable routing for the brake and rear derailleur bring this classic lugged frame to the modern era.

this turned out really really good. my eyes are asking for one complementary color, but it looks pretty damn cool as is.

Thank you everyone. The stem is actually an Ibis titanium stem. I don't trust silver fillets enough to make a stem using stainless steel tubing. On a frame the joints are supported by other tubes in a triangular fashion, a stem has no support so it needs to be strong. I wanted to celebrate the metal on this bike, and unfortunately a non-plated/painted steel stem gets rusty so I went this route.

Thanks, come check it out at NAHBS if you're in the area. The seat angle is 71.5 to accommodate extra setback for the rider and to use the Selle Italia Flite saddle without an aesthetically challenged super setback post. Those saddles don't have a lot of rail room.

Trying to get things together for NAHBS in 4 weeks, I have 5 bikes that are just about ready for parts, and hoping to have these stems finished by then as well

If you're in Sacramento, CA this weekend come by the NAHBS show, I'm looking forward to meeting some of the paceline folks.
