I would have no issue using just the Open with multiple wheel sets (I currently have 2 sets for the open, GravelKing 38 x 700 and 650 WTB Resolute 42) If I was just to have the Open, would have a nice set of Carbon road wheels and tires.
Unfortunately I dont have that much gravel close to me, If I lived in Colorado or some other places, I would only ride gravel, maybe occasionally road.
I have enjoyed the fast group ride on my Sworks, however I dont think I would miss it that much if I just had the Open.
The only issue with the Open is that there is no place to put a cadence sensor except on the outside of the crank. If I was only having one bike, I think I would want a Powermeter and with the Open would be limited to one or 2 choices.

As good as the Open is, my one and only bike would be a custom Ti.
There are a lot of PM choices for the OPEN, pretty much any crank PM that is not a stages or a 4iii. But you can do quarq, P2M, ect.

Also I have a cadence sensor on my OPEN, fits fine, on the inside of the crank. Crank is Easton SL.

I love the open upper I should say... could it be my only bike ? no because I remember the front chainring limitation of 50t... sorry 50-11 gets me dropped on certain rides right now. 52-11 is barely cutting the mustard.

I would need that cassette with a 10t

Wow 52-11 is not even for you at 90-110 rpm?

Think mild downhill, downwind for a few miles... with a 50-11 my rpm was 130+ at times.. I just checked strava. Speeds where ~45mph. I can't keep 130rpm up for long.

I am using an Ultegra 2X crank and no cadence sensor will fit.

A new carbon cannondale topstone is dropping tomorrow. So, that may be worth a look also.

Thanks Clean pal. I took it out this morning to hit the backyard trails...it's got 35mm gravel kings mounted on at the moment. It looks a bit different because it's been repainted.

Looks like a magical place to ride - great color there on the repaint too!
