Cinelli XA clamping torque
I cannot find the box or instruction leaflet and haven't needed to adjust this stem in years so can't remember, can anyone please tell me the torque on the bar clamp for this stem?

Allen wrench with a short handle...pretty firm.

I went through this a couple of years ago.
Recommendations from Cinelli and the torque pages at Park and Dedham agree that about 18 Nm is correct. https://www.parktool.com/en-us/blog/...s-and-concepts https://www.dedhambike.com/articles/...able-pg186.htm

No idea on torque, but where the heck have you been, I was thinking about you and the Luigino the other day, I may have had a fleeting thought about weisan also.

Thanks for all the replies gentlemen. Good to know I can still get the good oil here. The Tommasini is back up and running!
As to where I've been, its a long short story. Growing up in the country I had two passions, fly fishing for trout and cycling. Back then I could indulge them both -even combine them. Now it seems its either one or the other. I've grown to hate cycling in the city, which is probably where I need to do a lot of my cycling to keep fitness levels up. So I spend most days off driving to rivers around me fly fishing. Hanging in the shed is a sorry tale of redundant bikes, a Kirk Terraplane, a custom Pegoretti Duende and a cromovelato Moser to name a few. I hope to retire soon and get back into cycling. My wife, who I introduced to cycling 15 years ago is killing it, still on her custom Eriksen. Hopefully I'll get to enjoy those bikes again soon. |
