The fact that there are concurrent threads about Legend and Passoni right now is interesting. I had been discussing importing Passoni bikes with Luca Passoni just before his untimely death. At the time, Bertoletti was doing most of the frame-building for Passoni. After Luca's death, the fellow in charge of sales at Passoni left and moved over to help Bertoletti set up Legend. He realized where the balance of knowledge have moved after Luca's passing. The sales guy has subsequently left Legend as best as I know.

Passoni was ultimately sold by Luca's heirs to a high-flying banker, known very well by a number of close contacts of mine. In the Passoni thread, a member here said his purchase was rather complicated, which does not surprise at all as the main focus is in the insular world of high-end banking in London and around the world, where cycling has become the new golf. Dealing with Bertoletti should be much easier and I believe the end project will ultimately be better than the Passoni. I hope Elite does great business as Bertoletti is very deserving.

Thank you for sharing your insights into the paths of Passoni And Legend. Seems that Marco has been a key behind the scenes guy for quite a while before coming out with Legend. That knowledge and skilled craft is certainly evident in his work we have seen here so far. Kudos to Marco as well as Eric at Elite for sharing with us.

Thanks to all for your kind words and shedding some light.

The ordering process with Legend is extremely straight forward and easy as I am in direct contact with them on a daily basis. While not fluent, I speak Italian. That being said, it's not necessary to facilitate the process as Marco's daughter is fluent in English.

Most orders generally take 30-40 days to complete after placed in their work order, basically after the fit and measurements are complete. For instance, I just ordered a frame for myself(attached pics) and while my measurements where already complete, the frame was finished as aforementioned , and once shipped from Italy, it arrived at my doorstep in 5 days.

Titanium with a little color.

Eye-catching frame, especially in the sun. An Il Re(the King) with iridescent paint and graphics.

You know, every time I think you have out done yourself showing a new build, you top it!
