Best Campy mechanic in nyc??
Moved here two years ago and it seems like I just can’t find a good mechanic that knows how to wrench Campy stuff including EPS in nyc area. I’ve been to a couple of shops that are known (won’t mention them here) but would love to hear what any of you guys have to say.
Apparently Saville Road in Albany is good but that’s 8 hour drive round trip! |

Not for nothing, but wouldn't mentioning the shops you've been to and weren't happy with, eliminate some folks recommending them again. Might help get you a better answer.

I would only bring it to two places. Either Maglia Rosa NYC or Tijon at https://tunedby.square.site. Both served my Campy mech and EPS multiple times. Good luck |

Other than that, I've had good experiences with Tim at Bicycle Habitat on Vanderbilt, though only minor stuff and no EPS. NYC Velo should have it worked out since they're a Pegoretti dealer |

- Eps internal cables rattling.
- chain comes off when I shift up from small ring to big. (This particular issue somehow couldn’t be solved. Both my eps and mech grouppo. They all said FD is installed/adjusted correctly, chain length is good, but seems like two out of ten times it comes off. Very annoying) - when bikes (yes bike’s’) leave the shop, shifting isn’t crisp. I just went for a ride after picking my bike up the other day, RD clicks and shifting is no good. - I felt the rattling on my pedals when I’m coasting on rough roads, took it to the shop, they said the bearings are not set in tight, and PM spider is loose, they tightened it. I still feel the rattles on bb area. This is for mech grouppo. Some of the issues I’ve been having. And I’ve been to tuned but never been to Maglia Rosa. Ive been to Tuned, NYC velo, RnA, and Hilltop |

Been out to maglia Rosa a few times and had really good experiences. Beyond that, I just try to teach myself everything because it does seem like most places around the city don’t mess with campagnolo too much.

^^^This.
I'm pretty sure there are only two shops in NYC that are a designated "Campagnolo Pro Shop" (whatever the hell that means) Conrad's on Tudor City Place, and R&A Cycles in Brooklyn. And there are a bazillion reasons why you don't want to take it to R&A...not the least of which it looks like OP already tried them. Yee at Conrad's is the only wrench in the five boroughs who I'll let work on my Record-equipped Sachs, and he's never disappointed me. [edit: fwiw Santiago up at Signature Cycles in Greenwich CT did a very nice tune-up on my Sachs once.] |

Noted. Just dropped of my pegoretti there.
Seems legit - once they fix this problem, I would have to drop off my c64 to remove internal rattles! Quote:

the answer is conrad's (+1), i used to live next door and it's the only shop i've had unquestionably good experiences with.

I just got fed up w/ shops saying "it'll take 1 week" for even the simplest stuff, they're so slammed. So figured to do a lot of the little stuff myself... not helpful, I know...
