Not in the land of the great chill factor. Snowed last night. Cold, overcast and windy today. Other than that it's beautiful.

I work from home on Friday so I get to make omelette for my daughter's breakfast and then take her to the bus stop.

Then I made one for myself

Had some good coffee and a donut already, it's sunny out with a high around 50. Pretty darn nice Friday for mid-November.

Long field day on Tuesday to THIS god forsaken place, so I have a short day today. Got a nice ride in this AM and am warming up with some tea. Tonight it's family time and tomorrow my daughter's marching band competes in the AZ State championships.

What you said, Nick, except exactly the opposite.
Overslept, on deadline, kid late for school, stress eating, idiots at a large national organization can't get it together to find one person to answer three simple questions for a reporter writing one of the biggest magazines on earth (aka me), and even the dog chooses this morning to stand there and bark at a tennis ball that isn't there.
I'd quit if I had anything to quit or even anyone to quit to.
Aaaargh.

Nice morning here in eastern MA. Sun is out, first time in 3 days. After 3 weeks of having a really nasty cold, I finally feel great today. I'm not currently on a bike, but on balance it's ok...

Sunshine and warm outside, lots o work to do inside. Want to ride today but getting over some minor food poisoning I might have picked up in NYC (I think). Last time I was there was mid 90s, I really liked NYC this time around, very colorful and seriously awesome place, a lot has changed in 20 years!

A wicked hahd core place, it is inhabited by self proclaimed a-holes but most are rather pleasant people.

NYC is most certainly ONE of the greatest cities on earth. I had my doubts but this trip fortified that notion. Got bamboozeled on our Statue of Liberty trip, power tripping Russian lady chewed me out at the Gugenhiem, got gleefully lost in central park staring at all the awesome bikes that bike through there also found some cool nooks and crannies, saw the FU pay me guy at times square, went to Madison st instead of Madison ave, saw a Trek 620 locked up to a pole, the bull has balls! and they are well worn! Top of the Empire state in the fog, went to ground zero wow, those memorials are very powerful. Marathon run through the Met very impressive, I like museums and this is a world class museum, "so this is where all the ancient art from Cyprus is stored", king Henry was a fat-@$$, I was also was privileged to listen to some amazing opera singing in the modern fart section (I say this as I am painting a modern art piece right now). Also visited another interesting museum, tried to get directions from an officer who spoke almost no English, saw that naked cowboy guy. In the subway was treated to some a great renditions of John Legend's all of me, some Bob Marley, some guy killin it on the Chinese Erhu, and a wonderful wandering band of soul singers. Cool place!

Nope, totally missed them in the crowd. So many scantily dressed hotties to look at around there that I missed the naked ones. Next time...

It started off chilly (61 degrees in the living room since we don't have the heater on) but it is supposed to warm up nicely later today and my ride home from work should be nice and comfy without arm or knee warmers. There was a positive energy at work and it actually feels good to be working at the office instead of at home, though the coffee at home is better. Other than the inherent stresses of work, the only thing annoying me now is that I've still got some unresolved drivetrain noise on my bike after putting on new wheels.
