Tour de France Stage 15 - Long downhill after Last Climb - SPOILERS

Probably no change in GC. Day for the breakaway again.

this guy's a real piece of ****. In the past season and a half: suspended for being racist, investigated for deliberately crashing somebody, DQed for taking a tow to the lead group late in a race, and now DQed for punching a guy. that's some palmares.

Good racing though for the stage--lots of interest in getting into a break. lots of fast riding early which split the peloton--and the groupetto went backwards like someone threw anchors off their bikes.

Sky did not feel it necessary to chase down the break and beat it into the ground--or maybe they weren't able to.

I had hoped that Rafal Maka was good for it, but it was not to be.

BUT the question is Thomas and Froome..must be interesting discussions in the team bus. Let them go head to head to see who gets yellow? Froomie 'allowed' to get his Giro-Tour double? Froomie can't put 2 minutes into Thomas, or shouldn't, or is told not to? Shades of Lemond-Hinault 1985/6, Riis-Ullrich, Contador-Schelk(?).

Yes--the Pyrenees should be interesting.

Challengers?: Sky didn't let Martin get back any time, and the problem for Domoulin is that he can mark either Froome or Thomas, not both (and survive).

It does feel more fluid than past Sky dominated events, if only because of the 'two captains' problem.
