Current Record Vs Super Record?
Whats the difference?
Is it just titanium bits in the SR?

Very little..SR-Titanium spindle, ceramic pulley guts, more titanium cogs, hollow chain pins..the same design and function(as is Choru), just less titanium, ceramic and carbon(Chorus)..same design, just different(less expensive) materials..
Yup, below..CULT vs USB bearings, Cult having harder races than USB..

I'm loving the current Record 12...really couldn't justify the huge extra expense for Super Record 12. I'm a bigger rider...I can lose far more weight far cheaper than 'upgrading' to SR.

The upcharge for SR is crazy.

I have bicycles with Campagnolo Super Record 12-Speed.
I also have bicycles with Campagnolo Record 12-Speed. Both perform well and feel good. Crankset and rear derailleur appearance had to "grow" on me. Also like my Campagnolo 11-Speed, 10-Speed, and 6-Speed versions! |

I have Super Record 11 speed but it was just crazy expensive compared to Record. I do however keep my bikes 20 to 25 years so that I can live with the premium tag price.

I have a 2015 chorus 11 group that has 10k on it and a 10 speed record group that has over 20K and both are still going fine.
If I buy a brand new group again it will be chorus. SR,R and C all function the same and the more use the better they get. Kinda like a fine wine, they all get better with age. |
