Genvea??
Going to be in Geneva for a day before riding through the Alps for 7-days. Any tips on where to stay, what to do, where to eat, etc??

Geneva is pretty small with good public transport. If your flying into and out of Geneva the airport hotels are pretty convenient and a few minutes train ride into downtown. Otherwise staying downtown close to the lake and then just wandering around isn't a bad way to spend a day/night (it's what I did about 8 months ago). No specific recommendations on places to stay or eat - I guess mine weren't overly memorable. The 4 Seasons by the lake has a nice Gelato space if that's of interest.

Following.
I have family moving there this summer. They already bought new bikes to explore the gravel and MTB riding in the area. Can’t wait to hear more. |

I landed in Geneva. And then drove 45 minutes to Annecy to stay/ride.

I flew into Geneve many times and then drove to Lausanne to work!

This is a very good suggestion if you have the time, particularly if you don't need to be back in Geneva the next day for transiting to your cycling trip.

I'd stay at Beau Rivage which is on the Lake. It's a nice place to run along the water in the morning, and an easy walk across Pont du Mont Blanc to the other side to window shop if so inclined.
