Nicccce! REALLY considered getting one of those last month but I got a white SE instead. I just really like to have a factory sunroof.

I traded my 2017 SE for the Rabbit - I agree, the only downside I saw was the sunroof - but the color and wheels balance it all out - I think.

What exactly is that VW? I get that it's some form of GTI/Golf/Rabbit but what's the specific model that is so low in production?

It is the 2019 Golf GTI Rabbit edition. They are producing 3,000 total for the US, and only 500 of those are in this Cornflower Blue color (and only 250 have manual transmissions).
In terms of specs it is kind of in between the S and SE, but has some iconic GTI / Rabbit things - the Clark plaid cloth seats, Rabbit badging, black wheels, black mirror backs and black spoiler. They also come in colors that are distinct from the GTI - urano gray and the blue above are unique to the rabbit - Rabbit editions also come in a pearl black and pure white (same colors as the autobahn trim). It's a really fun car 228HP at just 3,062 pounds with a limited slip differential - on ramps are a LOT of fun. |

Has grippy cloth seats, eschews the sunroof and adds goodies like LED headlights, limited slip differential, a power bump over the 2018s, etc. It’s the GTI to get imho and I’d have one yesterday if I hadn’t made the mistake of getting a lame crossover last fall and owing more now on it than it’s worth to sell on the market. I’ll wait for the next generation GTI and probably get one then. I have a 2006 and love it but I do want some of the modernities of a 2019 car vs a 2006. |

I was at an HPDE last weekend and was impressed with some of the cars driving on the track. Three McLaren Sennas and three Ford GTs. Nice to see these cars being driven.
Today I was at a clients house and in his garage he had a Singer Porsche, a Gunther Werks Porsche and a Porsche GT2RS. Nice small part of his collection of cars. Jeff |

A VW Golf/Rabbit is literally the third most produced vehicle after the Ford F and the Corolla. Want me to post a few pics of those?

I bought a new Civic Si sedan in December. I can't believe how good it is for $24,000-25,000.

When I was 14 (in 1963) the Chrysler Turbine car drove by a small Mom and Pop store I was working at. It was wild looking at the time and the sound it made was crazy! Only 50 were made and only 9 exist.

ooh nice
I almost bought its half sister once (concertible version), the most obscure car i've ever driven, also the one with the longest name ever: Lancia Flaminia Convertibile Superleggera Touring (the resemblance is the bodywork only, technically, it'S a completely different animal)

I've heard rumors of slight weight loss, which isn't a bad thing and I suspect some of the technology will trickle down, as it always does in cars. Additionally, I don't think the current one offers really any more interior room and while I don't need much, an extra half inch here and there wouldn't bother me either. The Rabbit I drove was a delight, that's for sure. I've been in this kind of car since my first post-college Rabbit in 1990, which was a 1975 version, I think the first year they came out. |
