Are these tires fake? - Update- They're Real

Picked these Schwalbe Pro One 700x25 tubeless tires up on ebay last week, arrived today and something doesn't seem right. Assuming they are fakes, what are your thoughts? Previous BIG LOGO Pro one for reference with packaging (far right box). Fake tire is the front one with the small logo, and pair of fake boxes. Plus they feel like plastic.

Quick Reply from Schwalbe
"Hey Kyle,

Thanks for forwarding this. Definitely not knock offs! The new tires you have are just the most recent production run of the Pro One. We’ll occasionally make small changes in production, and always for quality, consistency or performance! You’ll likely notice these last longer and roll a bit quicker than your first production Pro Ones.

Thanks for bringing this to our attention either way! "

Maybe there is a difference between a 23 and 25 tire, aesthetic-wise. Or maybe they just changed their packaging. Is getting counterfeit tires really an issue?

Fake for sure. The chevrons are pointing different directions.

Is it 1st April yet?

i think it could be a legit question.

i was very close to buying some vittoria tubulars a week ago on ebay until i read some of the seller's feedback. he had a US address, but many people claimed the items he sold had shipped directly from Taiwan or China, and a few were claiming the items (like stems and saddles) were advertised as real, but were in fact fakes.

i passed on the tubulars just to be safe.

i think the OP's tires are probably OK, but with the volume of faked cycling goods out there, i dont think he is automatically wrong or crazy to question authenticity...

I would think that molding vent spikes left on a tread would be bad for aerodynamics, especially since the top portion of the tire meets the air at double the road speed.
I take them off with nail clippers but couldn't they do this at the factory much faster somehow?
OTOH, I've heard that they improve traction in mud, so might leave them on my CX tires if I didn't do mostly dry races.
