i really dig that nardo grey (battleship, putty, primer, etc...)
but i think that you need a large surface area like a car to really show it off. doesn't seem to translate well to smaller tubes

It's dark grey...just back in the line-up...and yes, the saddle needs adjustment. But I'm excited to ride!

I think I might be starting to agree.. i feel so beholden to doing something both cool and yet 'classic' enough that my taste won't change too quickly, as this is my first (and likely last for some time) custom. I'm often a black bike kind of guy, which I suppose is classic enough, but for some reason I think I need to do something "special" for this

i agree 100%. it's hard not to when ordering a frame.
to be completely honest, i spent more time and attention on the paint then i did on the frame geometry. that's probably backwards, but i trusted the builder and we had a good rapport so it worked out well. i let the builder deal with that and had more fun with the paint part of the process.
depending on who's building it, you could ask for some input from their painter. with my geekhouse, i had some general color palette preferences and let marty and jordan low come up with the final scheme. they'll know what works well with the style of frame.

Here' gis_guru's redone Bridgestone RB-T. I believe he's looking to sell.

Still messing with the fit, so ignore the chub. Also have this on road gearing and 28 tires for now to see how well it does over the summer months.

I just did a search for grey (gray) bikes a month ago and didn't find one. Thanks for starting one!

Not mine, but I'd certainly take it:
