I stopped by the physical location of ProWheelBuilder while I'm in Atlanta for the week, as I needed a new pawl spring for my White Industries hub, and I knew they would have some laying around.

I bought a pawl spring, and he put it in for me since I didn't bring a tool to remove the brake rotor to pull the axle/freehub off to get to it.

while I was there, we talked shop for a while -super nice guy - and I bought some bits he had laying around.

100mm Blackwell Research tubular hoop, and an American Classic front hub to mate to it.

Another 585. This is the last one, I really need to stop looking at them. But they check all the right boxes for me. Great fit, great ride, threaded BB & external cables.

These will replace my trusty S-Works 6 road shoes. No miles yet, but I already like them. It's a more luxurious shoe than the 6...more refined details all around, better Boa knobs, a more slipper-like fit. The heel cup is still pleasantly snug but is more comfortable. The toe box has a hair more wiggle room.
I really hope the S-Works mtb shoe receives the same enhancements.
Would you mind a ride report when you get some miles on them? I am thinking about getting a pair myself. Who did you get yours from? How do they fit compared to others? I don't have a dealer near so I will be getting them through mail order.

Giving the EVZero's a try and Tubeless 25mm wide Pro One's. Also picked up some new black laces for my VR90's, although not Giro but tons of color options

Kickstarter for Quoc Gran Tourer shoes.

Path Less Pedaled commentary tells me this could be my kind of shoe.

The whole Trek 9 series of mtbs was killer, with the 950 being my favorite. I'm planning on building up when again too, once I come across another frame that fits me.
