Changing Campagnolo Freehub for Shimano on a Bora WTO 45

I am trying to swap out a Campagnolo free-hub for a 12-speed Shimano one. The Campagnolo instructions call for a proprietary tool- (UT-WHDB001 or UT-WHDB002) Looking at the design, I see no obvious place for the Campagnolo tool to slot into as it's a completely smooth surface end to end. Am I crazy? I hesitate to buy something if it's unclear if this will work. Alternatively, is there a common tool that will work for this procedure rather than buying yet another specialty tool.
