the best way to dial out the play is to do so in the bike. put the qr back in and put the wheel on the bike, clamped down. put your hex key in there, loosen and use the hex key as a lever to tighten the collar. spin the wheel a few times and adjust the collar until you have no play. then tighten.

viola!

That nut just holds the adjustment 'plate' tight..loosen it, then rotate the plate a wee bit, then tighten the fixing bolt back down. best done while wheel in bike, QR tight.

It's a 3mm allen, isn't it?

After many years of adjusting traditional cup and cone hubs, those Campy hubs are the best (cup and cone) system ever!

Have a decent wrench around who can let ya watch a Campag hub OVH? Really easy, watch once and yer set.

This video is a hub in a factory wheel but essentially the same.

In the video he removes and replaces the bearing cups, something you don't normally need to do. (What a difference the right tools make!)
