Nice Andy!

I really like the simple no-nonsense road bike. Caliper brakes, frame pump, the whole package. It looks great, and of course, you have some awesome home turf to ride it on.

what tubeset is used on this one? who is doing the Alliance paint?

Thanks, was a fun process. I wanted a straight forward road bike and the stays and tubing shaping just make it perfect. I am unsure of the tubing used. Has a cool bi-ovalized top tube and the chainstays have some neat shaping too.

The paint was done by Dark Matter Finishing.

Hi Everyone,

Thanks for all the kind words. Andy's bike turned out awesome!

The tubeset is Columbus Life for the top/down/seat tubes. The chainstays are flattened Deda units. The seatstays are Columbus Zona, which are great for putting the heavy shaping into that Andy requested.

The finish is done by Dark Matter in Colorado Springs. This bike is Liquid painted, which is best for getting that true Gios blue color match. The logos are painted on as well for a smooth finish.

Thanks,

Erik

Sunday was a big day for the Alliance and me. 131 miles with 7400ft of climbing. Was a great day with a couple friends. The bike handled it perfectly! I was comfortable and never worried about the bike. Steel with mechanical and the other two were on carbon with EPS/DI2 and carbon wheels.

I guess I like this angle!

Breaking it in on some nice smooth gravel over the weekend.

Finally clicked over 1000 miles on this. Took a bit as I've been on some other bikes too but not bad as it's not even 2 months old. Absolutely love riding the Alliance, every time I get on it feels so right!

New Stages PM and switch to a 175 crank from a 172.5. So happy to not be using my heavy Powertap wheel.

Quick pic during today's spin
