I'd like to see those stars in person some day. It's been a long time since I've been in that much darkness.

I've always liked Brian work. He's kind of revered among us CXers for Pure Sweet Hell, his first film (I think). Check out his other stuff. It's all good.

Coming from a wet, PNW climate and geography, that landscape looks so bleak and dreary to me! It would be very cool to see, though there's no way I would be riding that ride.

It also seems like a lot of preplanning with the 'geocache boxes' hidden around in the bushes.

I have watched this at least a dozen times. A friend of mine previously from AVL was part of the film team, said it was a blast to work on the project. It has a vibe of some of the early Rapha Continental films no?

Really enjoyed this - DV has always been a special bike place for me. Many of us mourn the loss of the FC508 and the DV Doubles due to changes at DVNP. If you know the route, there's really no way to do this without staging water. They showed the ammo boxes of treats, but when they refueled you could see that they had also cached bladders of water, which were more important than the gummy worms.

Also, 99 fahrenheit is nothing on that route.

That was a great video - especially the porta-potty scene. I haven't been to DV yet, but maybe this spring break I'll make it out there.

I was going to say--I've been to DV all of once, it was up in the teens, and that was put to me as more typical than brutal. What a beautiful place, though. I would like to go back. The drive between Furnace Creek and Vegas in the dark? That I don't need to do again.
