New frame - fork/HS question

I ordered a new Dean EL DIENTE Ti frame with a 44 mm HT should I go 1-1/8 - 1-1/4 or 1-1/2 this is new ground for me. Fork recommendations are welcome, Enve is their go to but said Columbus would also work. I assume CK HS is best but open to suggestions also.

Thanks,
Jeff

Enve makes a good fork. Hard to go wrong with their stuff. Chris King headsets are nice, but if you’re looking for an alternative Cane Creek 110 series are very nice as well.

Are you considering medium reach calipers?

If not why not? If yes go Whisky. Lovely fork.

this. Hard not to go with an enve 2.0, excellent forks.

Whiskey be another option, good fork but mid reach which maybe would not work in the back if the frame was not made for it

Parlee forks pop up every now and again too.

What decals and finish are you doing on the frame? Groupset?

Watching this thread carefully for fork ideas for a “no-holds-barred hammerfest bicycle” with rim brakes.

Columbus forks are pretty good, but the lowest take they offer is 45, where as Enve offers a 43, which offers slightly more stable handling. Personally, if the head angle is 72.5 or less, I'd go with a 45 rake, if it's 73 or more, I'd go with a 43 rake.

If you want lower than a 43 rake, the only options I know of are to pull a fork off a Trek or BMC. I actually really like my 40mm rake Trek Emonda fork on the custom frame I'm riding, but it took some work to make it work with an external cup headset.

I would just do a google image search "Dean EL DIENTE Ti" and take a look at the forks used in complete builds that others have done.

Nope, my Canti Carver is my big tire road/"gravel" bike. This one will take 28's which is fine for where I ride.

Decide quick, 25% off is pretty good, if the stock EL VADO frame fits, it should fit the bill for $1275.00.

Indeed! Have you been listening to my mental musings???

On forks. I found that the Enve 2.0 1.125/1.25 added just the right touch of additional "firmness" (vs. stiffness) on my Hampsten with the D-11 size HT for this bigger boy.

Yeah, but that lower race allowing the 1.25" bearing to work with the D-11 headtube no longer exists. Except for the one I have...

Where are you finding a 1-1/8 - 1-1/4 fork? Those aren't exactly common. If you can use a 1 1/2 I would definitely recommend going that route.
