I'm cool with things that are unnecessarily nice, or overpriced, or both. There will always be Park MT-*s or Abbey 4-ways for the rest of us. Their business model is predicated on getting metaphorical butts to put in metaphorical "275-dollar-floor-pump" seats. More power to 'em - even if mine doesn't fit.

It is, but the collet isn’t locking, so even the chuck wouldn’t stay put.

The problem with 1/4” bits is their desire to stay planted in whatever bolt the bit was used to tighten. It’s not super common, but common enough that when it happens, it can be a problem. Especially when used with either well worn bits, well worn bolts, or out of spec bits and bolts.

The Silva tool is really smart. I think it’s one of the best products they have released. But, with nothing more than a magnet to hold it in place, I’ll pass.

(This coming from the guy that sold many items to replace his Snap On ratchets with Snap On QR ratchets)

I have something from Wera that is similar to that, but the bits are stored in a plastic holder along with the handle, not inside the handle. I really like the locking chuck and the retractable torque bar.

This definitely has been my favorite tool purchase in the last year or so. Highly recommended!
