Chris Kvale Frameset

This is a catch and release of a near perfect Chris Kvale frameset that I picked up here on PL from gomango. Unfortunately, as much as I love the frame, the sizing is off for me so it deserves a new home.

Amazing lug work and paint. Hardly a blemish on it. 52 cm seat tube (center to center) with a 57 cm top tube. Long and low with a 13.5 cm head tube with the headset cups, 10 cm without. Frame pump painted to match is of course included, as is the installed Campy Chorus headset.

Passing it along for what I paid. $600 net to me, plus shipping.

I’ve held this frame (it’s got to be the same one) and it’s an amazing piece of bicycle building. Absolutely beautiful lug and paint work. (But it’s a Kvale so if you are reading this, you probably already know that)

If it fit me, it would still be in St. Paul.

I met the gentleman it was built for and I would say it was an excellent fit for him.

The frameset is gorgeous and the seller here is a super nice guy.

Let's find this a home.

btw The paint is soooo nice in person. Just amazing.

Yep. That’s the one I held. Grady isn’t being misleading. Beautiful.

If I were shorter, I would be tempted to try this frame with 650b wheels and porteur handlebars. Make use of that long reach with some pullback.

Maybe not the intended use of the frame, but I think it would be pretty classy.

What is that color? Blue, grey, gunmetal?

The frame's both too short and too long for me, but it's beautiful!

Paint is a very cool gunmetal grey to metallic blue fade.

I had the same thought - it would make an excellent townie for not a lot of coin.

Chris’s shop got wrecked in the riots. He may stop building as a consequence. If you want a CKC and this fits, it might be your last chance...
