Hamilton Fillet Brazed Columbus Max

Been searching for a Max frame in my size for a bit, especially a fillet brazed version, so when I found this frame for sale in TX I did some coordinating and made it happen. Not knowing anything about the builder, Hamilton out of Albuquerque, NM, I did some asking around on FB groups and someone shed some light on it's provenance:

"David Hamilton, is an Albuquerque, NM riding legend/icon. I have ridden with David from the mid-1980s to the present. He made limited numbers of custom frames when he worked at the Albuquerque Bike COOP. Another institution. Sadly, he stopped making frames for others some years ago. I know he is on Facebook. One of the greatest people I know. Truly outstanding person. You are fortunate to ride one of his frames. Have fun"

Anywho, the frame was stripped down and built with a full 7700 group, 7410 cranks, a Dean ti seatpost and an unknown make Ti stem that has 'Maxesque' shaping to it. Fits like a glove and rides like a dream so I figured I'd share for posterity. Note the chain has since been replaced with one of proper length lol. Cheers!

Saw this one and thought about it, but didn't go for it. Looks great -- enjoy the heck out of it!

Great bike!

Stem looks like an ITM Eclypse.

Nice looking ride you got there. Is there a cinch bolt on the right side that holds the seat post in place? Im not seeing it in the pics.

Nice find--that's a beauty. So tidy. It would be cool to see anymore shots of the seat tube cluster.
