G-One 40-622 TLs for the Tomii Stampede

New winter sneakers. I had not tried G-Ones yet, but got some 30mm HT tubulars and was impressed with the 30mm's grip for little dots on dirt.

Set up with tubes to try, really nice. So time to pull the tubes and put them on carbon TL Bonty wheels with juice. The 40-622 is 37 on the same width rims in the pic as my Aeolus Pro 5 TLRs. So 37-8, which is fine. Well perfect for my druthers.

Quick wet laps @ 50 PSi out in the field behind me with slimy deer paths, amazing grip.

If you've also tried Bon Jons or Gravelkings in the 35-38 range, how do they compare? Thanks.

Have not, GK were going to be next buy in fatties, but after the tub G-Zeros I went for these. One day I wanna try those for sure.

So far;

30-700 Alpine JB,
Challenge 30mm Strada Tubs
30mm Tub HT G-Zeros
40x700 WTB Nano and Refuse Maxxis
35-700 Hutch Overdrive
47-650b Cannonballs and ByWays

Been really using 650b wheels for what these tires do with me atop. 700-40+ make bikes too 29er for me. I even put 650b on my 29er and never looked back.

Have 33-700 Jack Brown Green Labels, but for me too light to use on gravel with super thin thread.

I'd think a Bon Jon ExtraLite be fairly comparable to the Jack Green, no?

If yes, I'd say no comparison to the G-Zero in the grip dept.

For sure, there'd be no comparison in traction with Bon Jons. I'm wondering more about general ride quality. I haven't tried G-Ones so I don't know how they are for a mix of paved and unpaved.

And probably not fair to compare the 33 Jack/Green to the 40-622 G-Zero, 37-8mm lets say. Sheer volume dept.

I would say the 30mm Tubular G-Zeros ride as well or better than the Jacks. I have the tubulars on deep carbon rims VS Jacks on Hed Black clincher w/latex tubes.
