Turn off Garmin PM calibration prompt?

Just did the Assioma pedal software update which automatically calibrates the pedals at startup each time you head out for a ride.

My 1030 is still prompting me to see if I want to calibrate; haven't found anything in Garmin documentation about turning off that prompt. Anyone have a way to do that so I don't have to click through each time I get on the bike?

You can turn this off in the Garmin menu.
Sensor setting for the sensor detail and you will have option to enable it per power meter.

As above, in sensors.

Generally I think it to be good hygiene to calibrate each ride. You get an idea of where the zero is at and if it deviates really significantly that can be an indicator of something going wrong.

I did not know what the update I just did was for but thats really cool. One of my favorite thing about my p2m meter was the auto calibrate, cool that the pedals do it now too. The assioma pedals are fantastic.

Agree. And that's what the updated firmware now does.

Does it flash up on Garmin screen with the zero-offset/calibration number?

Yeah that's what I suspected, my point was that by actively performing the calibration you are able to see the offset number and spot anything out of the ordinary.

Yes. You see the torque and offset. I keep mine set to prompt calibration. It does it when I first get on my bike and it takes a few seconds with my Vector 3 pedals.

Yeah yep, I get that, it just sounded like it displayed a calibration figure with no input from the user (which it doesn't) in an 'automatic' fashion. You still need to go through the prompt with a few taps. Which I do just out of habit on my P2M.
