I would ride it for the paint alone. Not to mention it has all the ride quality gold standards.
Love those colors: remind me of childhood toys.

Well, I picked up two more recently that I'm sorting out. Oh wait.....that's actually three, oops!

First is a beat up and not very well maintained Colnago Super that I paid way too much for. I think I saw a red steel Colnago and lost my head, LOL! But anyway, I've been slowly hacking away at it and now the goal has been to make it worth what I paid. It may get it's first test ride today. Surprisingly I was able to stuff some GP 4000s II 700 x28 tires on this. Plenty of room up front and tighter but ok in the back. Looks good from 10 feet away, LOL!

More exciting to me is this Miyata 914SE picked up the next day for less than a third of the Colnago. This thing has honest wear on it but also was very well taken care of by the previous owner. Had it out last Sunday after doing a 42 mile ride on another bike. Only did 13 miles on the Miyata but if felt pretty spectacular. I got stung twice while out on it though and haven't been out riding since. I swell terribly from stings here lately. This is the one I'm taking back out in a couple of hours for a proper shakedown ride. For those that know the old Miyata's this is supposed to be the same frame with lesser components to their top model for the year. The sweet Splined Triple Butted (STB) stuff. It's got all the original Shimano 600 Tricolor parts on it.

And this one has already been shared in another post. My "Grail" Lemond. Such a beauty and the only bike I have that I'm almost afraid to ride. It'll see a test ride soon....I think.....maybe....

And while I'm at it....one more alibi I think.

This "Lecoulant" French bike snuck into the stable late last year too. Still not sure of the history or even maker of this but it seems like a fine ride. The paint reminds me of that assorted holiday candy that came in a time, the striped pieces, LOL! Lecoulant is a small race team over in Europe and some speculation it came from them. That rear end is tight on it, not much clearance for the tire around the seatpost.

I've only ever had steel except for a Cannondale road about 8 years ago (aluminum).

Current:
Specialized Rockhopper
Black Mountain Cycles MonsterX Disc
Nishiki International

Have owned in the past:
Centurion Accordo
Centurion Dave Scott

Favorite ever was a Rivendell Rambouillet, but alas it was too small. I'll replace it in the future with one my size.

I'm certainly a newly recruited Steel Lover.... With the purchase of a Cielo Road Racer from Imaking20 I'm now kicking around the idea of going steel on gravel as well... The Kool-Aide has been drunk.
