Looks like brake piston seized, locking the pads on the rotor. Impact driver had no Impact on that failure mode.

Cyclingtips has a pretty good photo gallery here: https://cyclingtips.com/2020/08/gall...1-at-the-tour/

Sad to see Rafael Valls go down and break his femur.

Sagan just went OTB...pretty ‘varsity’ second stage...2cat1 climbs.
I wonder how many NBCGold subscribers watch ‘ad-free’ cuz of ads or because of Phil. I’d like to hear Bobke on the ad-free side.

Agreed, but let’s be honest, Phil’s lack of recall isn’t a new development. Neither is his status as the unofficial, official US Tour commentator.

+ SPOILER [high potential]

Just a thought for us fans.

Aware of the Covid contingency? [Is this a thing?]

Whomever is in Yellow if/when a mid-race cancel occurs, if/when clusters of CV-19 positives ensue, will be the de-facto Tour winner for 2020.

Phil commentary Snippet that may have gone missed while viewing.

Strategy tactics not normally used.

Who sat in yellow 10 days 2019, and SPOILER who is on yellow now??

Conspiracy theory! France shut down TdF early while JA in yellow to finally have French winner again.

As bad as it was I think if he doesn't hit the sign it's worse.
No sign means he gets cartwheeled over that brick planter.
No planter means he gets cartwheeled off the back railing down the side of that hill behind the housing.

I don't know how he body slams into that and gets back up and rides to finish. For that matter all those guys on the floor - if it's me I stay down curled up in a ball.

Jumbo and Ineos are happy to let someone else defend...

France is happy...

So who isn't happy?

Interesting tech tidbit from Alaphilippe’s victory: he won on tubed clinchers. Yup, a marquee TdF victory on the same type of wheels/tires us average Joes use
