I got the controls in 30 and just like the 28s they are fantastic.

Wish vittoria made the controls in 32 and 35, they are excellent.

But my first thought as well, rider weight. This should be included in ever PSI comment IMO.

Also, tire size. Big pressure differences between 28/32/35

Not much to add, other than to say Pirellis run big. I'm using "25" on 19mm internal rims, and they measure 28.2...

Vittoria Controls in 30mm are stellar on my Firefly. Not tubeless, btw, but they ride great.

Running tubeless Vittorias and they roll very well, seem to stick well on the corners. Schwalbe Pro Ones were very similar but I prefer the little more tread on the Vs. I have taken so many shortcuts on gravel recently but am yet to have any trouble, (touch wood). They are not the most durable but durability comes at the cost of performance.

GKs I tried and they were not very supple or inspiring in fast corners.I am heavy (190) so maybe the pressures I was running didn't help but the transition from flat to cornering felt tippy.

I wish IRC made their road tires in 30 and 32 as they are my all time favorite road tubeless tires.

I’ve got the 29c Enves on my 4.5AR and they come out just under 32mm width. So far initial rides have been really good but I’m still pretty fresh on them.

Wow. I'm 175 on my fattest days, and if I let the 32mm Gravel Kings get below ~50psi on pavement it feels like I'm pedaling through Jello, and cornering gets sketchy. I usually run the 32mm GKs at 70psi for pavement.

28psi would be a flat tire in my book! :::dancing banana:::

I had 28mm schwalbe pro ones tubeless as a road option for my gravel bike. They roll really well but seemed to get a lot of small punctures (which the sealant took care of thankfully but it's always a little stressful at the start of a 5 hour ride).

Honestly don't get the appeal of rene herse tires. They are beautiful and roll super well but seem to be flat magnets after 500 miles or so (and $$$)

I think gravelking + slicks are a good option, affordable, pretty easy to tubeless up, fairly aesthetically pleasing, and good flat protection.

You should consider the Vittoria Terreno Zero, as well. I've been switching between these and some chunky gravelkings depending on what kind of terrain I'll run into, and the Vittorias are awesome for dry hard gravel, and they feel like a road tire on pavement.

I don't know about hookless, but they meet all your other criteria, and ENVE has other Vittoria TLR tires listed as compatible so you should be ok there.

They're outrageously expensive, but the Rene Herse 32mm extralights are the best tires I've ever ridden. They last a while, too - got 2500 or 3000 miles on mine before taking them off, and I could've kept going for a bit.
