Campagnolo EP Max Derailleur Cableset vs Ergo Cableset Pwr Cableset
OK.. the price on the "new" and improved boxed cableset is double the "old" Ergo version. Anyone with experience using the new EP Max version?? Is it worth the extra $$ ?

Correction...the price difference is more than 100%. The "old" Ergo kits include brake and derailleur. The "new" EP Max, just derailleur.

No idea, but for me jagwire work as good as the campy cable.

I got the new cable sets with each of the chorus 12 groups that I bought recently. The rear shifting on my Colnago C-RS worked much better with the new cables.
I assume that eventually, the cables alone will become available as replacement parts. Right now, they only offer the CG-FRD700 set. The cheapest I've seen so far is about $88 from UK sellers. Colorado cyclist wants $100. If you're not having a cable friction problem on the RD, they wouldn't be worth buying. I wonder how well Shimano optislick cables would compare. Of course the heads would have to be ground down to work. Last edited by Dave; 08-18-2019 at 09:55 AM. |
