The “new” Pro’s Closet

Hi all,

I’m thinking of selling my No22 frameset and they made me a nice offer. But when I go to contact them, I cannot find a phone number, the email click through is a broken link and when I did finally find a phone number ( via google search ) it’s to a liquor store.

Oh, and in going through their website I have found 2 separate timelines of payouts.

Call me skeptical…

Thoughts?

Thank you all in advance!

Steve

I feel that you are right to be skeptical.

We really dont know one damned thing about the new company. Who knows if they really have the money to spend to raise some stock to rebuild the business.

If you send them a bike and they go back out of business tomorrow, you've got about zero recourse options that would realistically pan out. Even if they dont go out of business but sit on your check for months, short of suing them, you have no leverage . Basically 100% oof the risk is on your part.

I'd wait it out before I sold anything to them, personally.

Have you listed the No22 here?

I sent them pics of my Ti Strong. Bid was low and even worse was their payment wouldn't be paid for sixty days. I'll pass.

I have not listed it here as I was waiting to see if my SWorks Turbo Creo would sell first.

I think I will wait, seems very sketchy at this point. Thanks!!!

Kind of feel the same way, but I did see on their site where it said instant payment, so I reached out to them for clarification , to no avail.

I’m curious about your No 22. If memory serves, we are the same size.

It’s pretty much the same geometry as a 62cm Moots RSL with less of a sloping top tube. I had them base it off of that geometry as it was a great fit for me.

Please hit me up at local399@aol.com and I’ll send you pictures and info-prices.

Thanks!

Steve

It's been about eighteen years since I bought your BLE and I regret not getting the Moots you were selling around 2008ish. Still have the BLE although it's been repainted and updated with a Falz and a FD braze-on.

Thank you for the props! It’s been awhile since I bought or sold anything on here. Since moving to a much smaller condo from my house, I am very limited on space, hence, fewer bike churn.

As my back and neck degenerate, I’m finding the more aggressive road bike position just too painful. I purchased a high end flat bar bike and have been really enjoying riding pain free. Sucks getting old…

Edit: wait, it’s been 18 years!!! F$ckin bloody hell where did the time go????
