I'm about to register again...

I did the 115k last year... was an amazing event... was out of shape unfortunately between my work, 2 kids, coaching soccer and baseball... but it was great...

I'm intrigued by the mystery route that they are doing this year....definitely need to know the distance and elevation it'll be dealing with, but that could be fun...

I had a really rough year at D2 last year. It was probably the low point of my fitness for about a decade. This is, hopefully a big turnaround year in that regard. whatever the mystery route has to offer, i hope to be ready.

Good on you, angry pal, I am confident you will be ready. 180k is a bit longer than I like.

MYSTERY RIDE - for anyone who is interested in switching routes, with Sandy's blessing, I have just opened up registration for the "Mystery Route". A new route that he has developed that will remain a mystery until the morning of the ride (August 20th). He says he will give you basic specs far enough in advance. It will be wild and somewhere close to the 180K in length. The ride will start at 6:30am and is limited to the first 200 riders. If anyone would like to switch from their current registration to this new ride, please let me know and I will make that switch for you.

I'd love to try it.....

I'd love to try the mystery route, but the 115k was plenty for me last year and jumping up to 180 is just too much between work, kids and coaching my kids, just dont have the time to ride and train for that much...

i'm pretty sure i'll just stick to the 115k this year...

Moved my registration to The Mystery Route as well. If Sandy designs it, I will ride it.

Hoping the new "wild" sections are nothing worse than a flesh wound.

I moved my reg to the mystery route because that is the route my friends are taking.

The 160 has been plenty, or even a little more than I needed if I'm totally honest. Still, I mainly attend D2R2 to ride with people I only see once per year... So I go where they go.

Hah, had to look myself up because i couldn't remember what I registered for. Signed up for the 160 and am comfortable with that distance, so think i'll stay away from the mystery ride for this year.

So our evil creative genius Sandy, has a new, one time only, 'mystery' loop for just 200 riders this year. If already registered you can switch until all the slots are full. Contact Mary @ the franklin Land Trust. This will be a 170+ or - loop that shows up now on the BikeReg site, and already 40+ folks on the list. Act soon to avoid disappointment if you are interested!
Also the next price bump is after Feb. 28th.

https://www.bikereg.com/d2r2

I am hoping to have some intel on this loop in eary April...stay tuned!

Interesting. That's a bridge too far for me... but I wish you all luck on your new mystery quest.

Listen up pals, if you haven't tried D2R2 and you are sitting by the fence, ACT NOW! Go ahead and register. You won't be disappointed.

Mystery route...or not. Pick a distance you are comfortable with. You will still get to enjoy and experience the beauty of the New England countryside and the camaraderie.
