After slicing a nice hole in my sidewall on by GKSK at Monster Cross I broke down and bought a set of René Herse Steilacoom to see what the hype is about. A pain to get on the ENVE AR rim but they set up instantly with no sealant on the first try.

And it is back in stock, so ordered.
As I told my wife, new tools are cheaper than a new bike and last just as long. I have methodically replaced/upgraded most of my 20 year old tools over the past 6 months. Just need to get a better tool box / storage system. Have an idea for a set of sleeves for an ancient timbuk2 bag I don't use anymore. Just need to make time to go to the local sewing space to see if it is viable. |

Excellent choice. I had a pair of the first gen Favero pedals and they were great but met their match with a summer of bad luck in terms of crashes. I rolled the dice and got the Vector 3 recently and regret not getting the Assioma.

Possibly my new favorite cycling clothing company, at least for more relaxed style. This is really, really nice stuff. The fleece pullover just became my favorite cold weather knock about top.

Well, this is a question that has a different answer almost every week. Right now, I think my most recent purchase was a pair of short Sidi Techno 3 push buckles with the spool of wire.

That probably puts you in contention for “winning” this thread.

I bought this Bontrager OMW soft-shell jacket for gravel and winter riding. I like the huge vent zips in the front and it has a Boa adjustment in the hood to fit securely even with a helmet.
It's a club fit (Large, me at 5'11" 40" chest) so I can easily wear a wool jersey underneath. It's on sale (but still expensive) but really impressed on how well it is made. Of course it's been 50 degrees and too warm for the jacket... Also got this new tail light, a Niterider Sentry -- 260 lumens, great view on the side too and it comes with two straps for a regular and aero seat post.
