Andy Hampsten Opens Hotel In California

I've heard great reviews of the Cinghiale cycling tours...
Andy Hampsten opens a "cycling" hotel in Santa Rosa. Just added it to my list!

Sounds like it is not just a cycling hotel; the article says Andy is an investor. Maybe he has had a bike room installed, and has dibs on a few of the 30 rooms. Either way, sounds like a cool place; might need to spend a couple nights there next time I am in the area.

They do offer rental bikes on their website. No road bikes, though, just Shinolas. Cheapest rooms are just a tad under $200 with taxes/fees. Definitely an interesting option.

Our family went on a vacation a few years ago in Healdsburg. Amazing riding and food. A great area for cycling.

Spent a day in Healdsburg when I was in Santa Rosa for Levi's in 2016. Fantastic little town. My wife (not a cyclist) thought it was the best day of our trip.

We stayed with friends in Santa Rosa but I recall that bike-friendly hotel options were very limited. I'm sure this place will do well.

It took seven posts for this reference to make an appearance? I'm disappointed

Sounds like he is trying to coattail on Hincappie’s success. It’s a good idea and there may be might be training camps in the near future. Plenty of ways to make good money off cyclists these days. Our good economy obviously helps.

But seriously - Hotel has been open for quite a while, and is definitely on my list to stop at on our next roadtrip that way...
