Great story. So upon checking out Hansen's bike in the pic posted. Can anyone explain his seat post? i never seen one like that with the different angle if that makes sense.

It's flipped around. Adam has some rather strong views on bike setup.

I understand the power gains... I just don´t want to descend any mountain on that kind of set up. It´s a very short front center w/ a long and low stem. center of gravity is moved all forward.
