Of course HOU is good, we all knew that, but GSW's lackadaisical/bonehead play has baffled me nonetheless. It's not all HOU. GSW is supposed to be the smartest team in the league, after all.

If you ask Joe Lacob, they are.

If you ask Daryl Morey, it's Houston.

Yeah, and they've finally run up against a team that is forcing them our of their preferred method of payment on offense. This is similar to what Cleveland did in the 3-1 comeback a couple years ago. Athletic wings are making a mess of the screening action, and theyre forcing the Dubs into a still excellent style of play for them -- again, Durant on the high post is a pretty great option -- but Houston's taking away all the usual stuff. Just as the Dubs have taken away all of Houston's corner 3 kickouts on Paul and Harden drives.

These teams know each other really well. But c'mon, Dubs have been held under 95 points in back to back games for the first time since March. Maybe some of that is missing Iggy, but full credit to the Rockets for playing some absurd D.

this, in combination with inopportune GSW sloppiness tells the tale...

someone explain to me why quinn cook is shooting that three...

Because Kerr put him in the game for spacing, they were 5 on 4 and he was open? Yeah, he bobbled it, and just when he started to get into the shooting motion Harden totally lost Curry at the top of the key, but I don't have a huge problem with that shot. I'd have more of a problem with him not taking it, honestly. In the heat of the moment, unlikely that you will find a better shot than a wide wide open wing three from a 44% three point shooter.

If you want to say Kerr should have had someone else in that spot, I guess that would be nice, but half their roster is centers who can't play in this series. Swaggy P? Nah.

I'd take Swaggy P shooting that shot over Cook. Though I'm sure Kerr was making the right call. Cook's a better defender anyways.

Yeah, I guess just for that shot, Young might have been a better choice - he certainly would have shot it w (irrational) confidence. But the W's probably would've been down another 3 points from spaciness on D or yet another sloppy pass.

The real issue is that down Iggy and McCaw, they don't have a reliable 5th for the small lineup.
