Col du Petit Saint Bernard -- Snow-wall alert!
Behold, the snowiness. A perfect day, only spoiled by the lack of velotel who couldn't join (he had a very good reason).

Awesome, thanks for sharing. I've only experience mountain snow walls a few times in the Rockies, I learned the hard way about the limitations of sunscreen with reflected light and short sleeves, and also about the absolute thrill of going DOWN with the high walls giving a super and somewhat frightening sensation of speed around the blind hairpins- especially fun in May-early June when I was able to ride through before the roads were open to cars, using the full width of the road. Twice with cantilevers-- "brakes? We don't need no steenking brakes!"

Thanks guys! joosttx: I brought a backpack with the drone just for the snow. The road was still officially closed, so no road traffic except for the snow blowers and a few motos. fkelly, it is flanked by ski resorts which connect into Italy. I think this particular areas is used by snow kiters. sokyroadie, I'm guessing late June for the north facing slopes.
