Recommend a frame painter for my speedvagen
i did a dumb, and i left my speedvagen on the trainer during my #dadwatts phase -- there's a bit of surface rust and i'd like to take advantage of this to get it repainted.
Who are the go to painters now? black magic and hot tubes are the two i know of off the top of my head. |

Joe Bell is always another one highly recommended.
Located here in San Diego. |

Does Speedvagen not repaint their own frames? The other people mentioned definitely do quality work but I'm curious, why not go back to the source.

Oliver Cleveland at Dark Matter Finishing is as good as you can get.

Does SV do their own paint in house?
Velocolour is another A+ option.

If it is minor frame corrosion in a few spots, velocolor can do touchups. They fixed a few on my SV and you can't even tell.
If you call Richard at SV and ask for touch up paint, it will beeven better as the matching will be pretty much dead on. |

they do, but this is a 2015 frame that's been raced -- the cost to get the hollafade that i currently have has also gone up significantly. i'm inclined to just do something a bit different given the frame's age.

Where do you live? Shipping is expensive and a PITA.

Frame can also get damaged in shipping, ask me how I know.
Better to go local and drive it there if possible. |

Pretty sure Oli is powercoat only. In case OP was looking for paint.
