Since modern CAADXs are so thin on the ground, any similar frame-fork or completes from other brands? Thinking aluminum construction, level-ish toptube, affordable price tag.

As a data point - a shop here pitches the the more roadcentric CAAD 13 as a graveleur-light type of bike. Unsure how wide of a tyre it will accept, but I kinda like the idea...

Oh sick. I don't like it as much as the teal 2019, but I do like it. I like the rear TA and unchanged geo, too. Good looking out thanks.

I can see that as an option. Slightly different geo and build (and more $$$). Cannondale says "30mm with ease", so safe to say 32mm will fit, which is pretty standard for road disc frames these days.

I didn't. As it happens my buddy is a vintage bike collector and we're the same size so we traded straight up for one of my Italian steel bikes. I'm not entirely sure who got the better deal, but I know I'll ride the CAADX more so there is that..and we're both happy.

btw, in case anyone else is looking for a lightly used CAADX in size 56, I will almost certainly be (reluctantly) selling my 2018 CAADX 105 SE, which has a total of maybe ~8,800 miles on it. Frame was replaced under warranty in 2020, all other components are original.

It's currently back in my New York residence, where I won't be until this summer, but if you can hold out until then I expect to list it in the Classified section around this June. PM me if interested.

If you can live with a seatpost shim, the Cannondale SAVE seatpost (in 25.4mm) does a noticeable job of taking the edge off of bumps/hits.

Or, if you want to veer slightly into frankenbike territory, the eeSilk is even better.
